Slippery when wet is understatement!!

My son is always in a hurry (and it seems lately I am blogging more and more about him) and not paying attention to what he is doing.  I bought a big container of peanut oil for the deep fryers I keep on top of the refrigerator in the garage, as I don’t use them in the house.  The oil was on sale and in spring and summer I make deep fried chicken tenders because its the only way my dad will eat chicken, unless I make a roast a whole chicken like I do a turkey on Thanksgiving.  Well I don’t know how he did it but he poked a hole in it and the peanut oil was all over the garage floor.  Do you have any idea how hard it is to clean up peanut oil on the garage floor?  He is out there wasting paper towels trying to soak it up instead of grabbing one of the old sheets or blankets out there.  Can you hear me scream.  Talk about slippery when wet.  My hubby did his best to clean it up but the garage floor was still slippery.  I finally went and picked up a cheap mop I could toss when I was done and used Dawn dish washing liquid and a bucket of hot water and did it myself.  It was the only thing that got the oil up.  It took a few rounds of mopping but its done.  He still won’t tell me what he was doing.  I can guess that he was goofing around and punctured a hole (that is how it looks).  Why can he not just say mom I did X.  Is that really so hard to do.  Sure I am going to get upset but not as upset when he stands there playing the I don’t know card.  That just fires me up more!
