Growl a poster too!

This week when I picked up groceries I just happen to notice Trace Adkins on the cover of Country Weekly.  OH yeah you knew I was so buying that issue right?  My son said oh yeah that was a given as soon as he seen it.  It wasn’t 10 seconds he said before I had it in my hands.  Not only is there a great article on Trace..but there is a POSTER, you think hubby would mind if I hung it up in our room?? LOL

Having a recycled number sucks

I have to tell you having a recycled number sucks right about now.  I am glad our phones has a built in feature to block numbers but man I am so tired of turning on my phone and the messages I get.  Who ever had this number before me WOW.  Must of really been some piece of work let me tell you.  For a short moment I thought these sound like they should of been sent to my daughter.  Isn’t that terrible.  With the drama she produces and needs to feed on in her life they truly fit the bill.  I won’t have any part in it.  Some how though in the grand span of things it gets back to me and I don’t let it upset or get to me anymore.  However its really ticks me off that she is in communication with a friend of my sons and telling her things which then in turns that friend tells my son.  I’m glad he got a job and starts tomorrow, and that will get him out of the circle a bit.  I am doing my best to keep her from pulling him down.  I really am!

Mentor schools sued due to bullying!

My Aunt gave my dad today’s paper and he brought it home.  I was preparing his things for him and I happen to look down and seen the headlines on the front page that Mentor Schools are being used because the district failed to recognize and stop bullying (which lead to their child hanging herself).   This is the second lawsuit pending I do believe as another student shot himself back in 2007.  I have to say bullying is a HUGE issue in the middle and high school, YES!  It was the very reason we pulled our son out of school and put him in classes online from home!  My son had wrote a letter in 8th grade about committing suicide, that was the last straw for us.  We were done!  Calls did no good, meetings did no good.  So we took charge of the situation and this past school year our son not only graduated, but with merit!

It was not just an issue with the students, but also I had some issues with a teacher here or there.  That doesn’t help matters either.  In today’s times its really tough.  I feel for the parents and for their loss but I am unsure how far the lawsuit will go, but I fully agree something needs to be done about the bullying.   My son had some mean things done, shoved into walls or pushed so he fall and he have bloody noses!  Clothes torn and ripped, books knocked out of his hands all the time.  Just to name a few things.  Even phone calls to our house (but that issue was nothing the school could do about it).  He remembers it still today and he didn’t even want his picture taken for 8th grade or a memory book!  What does that tell you?

We have no regrets in the decision we made pulling our son out of the school system here in Mentor, none what so ever!

What I get for not playing it sooner!

Well I got a game called Hidden Mysteries: The Fateful Voyage Titanic for Christmas from my dad last year, which I ended up putting in my desk drawer.  I forgot about having it and found it the other day and went to install it and here the disk is bad.  The file on the CD is corrupt and it will not install properly, so that was a waste of money.  I sent an email to Game Mill about it but heard nothing.  I did a search and seen it just how it was shipped and I even tried to install the way others were recommending to another person and it still would not work.  I decided it just wasn’t worth crashing and I tossed it in the trash!  Just that is what I get for not trying it right away!  Lesson learned!

Egg Recall, product codes

I was listening in the background while cooking dinner for my family about the egg recall.  First thing I did was get the product codes and check our eggs in our refrigerator.  When I look at the dates I grow a bit concerned, as wouldn’t these eggs pretty much been consumed by now?  I mean its already August 18th?  I feel so bad for folks who are getting sick and see someone has already filed a lawsuit against the egg farm and the restaurant where they ate at from being sick.  So if they know the source was the egg farm why are they still suing the restaurant?

Growl! I just bought it!

Growl!  I just purchased Trace Adkins new CD via Amazon!  I got the whole Album baby! OH yeah and not only did I get all his new songs, I got Hillbilly bone as a Bonus AND his Video This Ain’t No Love Song! “Growl”!  I was going to get via iTunes but they were not offering the Video with it and well you know I am sad, if I can get a little more Trace with my order, I am!  LOL

This is a special one at that too because this is his first Album with his new record label now (Toby Keith’s label) and so that is exciting too!! 

Big Sea Games is closing down!

Big Sea Games, which is a part of Big Fish Games, is closing down September 1, 2010.  However Big Fish Games is NOT!  I was telling my mom about Big Fish Games, how we purchased games there and can’t beat the prices, especially when we had three teens plus ourselves in the house, it just fit in our budget when we were in the monthly club.  My mom called me in a panic thinking all of Big Fish was closing down.  She told me I better get over there and use up any game credits I have which I had several still out there, as she used up what she had and downloaded all the games she ever purchased.  She even read an email to me that she sent to customer service which confirmed Big Sea Games was closing.  I told her now read that out loud again.  After a few minutes she goes “oh”, well don’t I feel dumb!   I never really played at the Big Sea Games with having Pogo (where dad plays) and playing a few apps on Facebook and all the stuff I have here to do at home, I didn’t really find a need to play.  Perhaps less and less were playing now that Facebook has their games?  I only say that because in the email she read to me they mentioned some of the games are playable through Facebook.  Perhaps they are going after that market instead??

Cowboy’s Back in Town coming out!!

I am so excited, Trace Adkins new album is coming out NEXT week!!  AAHHH can you hear me screaming for joy!  I am so excited!!  Trace is one of my top favorite country artists and well that is not exactly big news here now is it! ROFL!  I am looking forward to this one as this is his first Album (or CD) under his new record label (since signing up with Toby Keith).

I am really looking forward to it and literally counting the days!!!
