Have you forgotten?

Being a veteran, yes I was enlisted in the Navy, I understand the need for why our country needs to do what it needs to do to protect our freedoms. I am so tired of those who must of forgotten all about 9-11! How can you support the troops and yet not support the war? No I don’t like the fact we are at war, and the lives that have been lost, but this is what our military is, it is what it does. I hear so many say that well it will pay for college, you see some enter into service for the WRONG reasons! Not all of us are cut out for this job, but have any of those people who bitch about the war ever checked out their blogs? Have they ever sat down and just wrote a letter to a soldier and find out what they are doing over there? It is NOT all about bombs and shooting people here. Yes its a dangerous job, it is not an easy job, but it it a job that needs to be done in order to protect us here!! Remember 9-11?? How millions and millions of people just stopped on that tragic day and days forward and pulled together? Remember how we were all united together???
I look forward to the day our men and women and come home, but in the meantime I send my love and support and thanks to them all and pray for each and everyone of them!!
So I ask you to stop and reflect before filling my comments up with hatred to listen to this song and video by Darryl Worley

I reflected yesterday on a hero lost in the war. It’s sad. I don’t know if I will ever be *okay* with it. I understand we need our freedom, but at the same time I am sad so many people give their lives.
I agree its sad but if you search all throughout history it was a battle in the beginning to become a country, the north was fighting with the south, many came over and we fought with the British to gain our independence. Sadly enough that is how we became this country and look at us compared to other countries, we may not be perfect but. Could you imagine putting yourself in those shoes and your husband was one of the ones killed in 9-11, how would you feel about our military keeping that stuff away from our homelands then?
