Downgrade to XP is possible

I have not had my laptop out or used it for over a month now.  It’s a beautiful day outside and I would love to take my laptop out on the porch and do some things.  But that darn Vista just makes it so difficult to accomplish the simplest of tasks.  I talked to the Sony rep ( I have a Sony Vaio) and I can downgrade to XP and gave me the steps to do it, I would have to download all the drivers I need and burn to a Cd and then I would be all set.  They suggested that I make a set of back up Cd’s with Vista in it so I can have the ability to put Vista back in if and when I was ready.  Now they are not selling XP anymore but I do have an older Dell desktop I am not using anymore, as matter of fact I destroyed the hard drive and sending the rest of it to be recycled, and that came with an XP Cd and I all I need is the label off the desktop and I have a legal copy to use and it would only be used on one computer so I think I may go that route.  I think I would get more use out of it with XP than it collecting dust now.  I know a few people who has Vista and don’t seem to have problems with it, but for me its been an issue from the day I first turned my laptop on!
