And you wonder why I wanted a MAC?
October 11, 2008
The start to my day isn’t the what I wanted. I came into turn on my Dell desktop with XP professional no doubt and it locks up in the loading window’s phase. You wonder why I wanted a MAC? To each his own right? A friend of mine says after the research she has done she never get a MAC, I asked her about it then she mentioned about having to make changes to “graphics” and that others in a scrapbooking community complain about not being able to open some kits. I don’t have an issue with my Macbook. I even have a copy of photoshop elements on it. Once I tackle the blasted text tool then I will be scrapping on my laptop here or there. But I can open jpegs, gifs, and pngs with no issues. So I am unsure what others are having a hard time with. I don’t even need winzip to open a zip file, Mac can open it fine.
The only reason I was going to keep my desktop was the fact of Paint Shop Pro. I am a seasoned user and also because of the mail program Incredimail because I make skins for them and have done some custom orders for a set with includes a screensaver. But right now I have no tolerance with Window issues.
I am going to purchase the program needed to use windows on my mac in the near future and see how it works just for a few reasons.
1. Paint Shop Pro
2. Gaming…there are a few games I like to finally get to play like CSI Miami
I really think if Corel made a version of Paint Shop Pro that was MAC compatible, they would open up doors to a lot of Mac users…. and profits too!
So will I spend my day today troubleshooting windows? I sure as hell hope not!
Got my MAC on!

Ok I have to tell you how very excited I am with my new found present, a MACBOOK. I am totally loving it. I been setting it up and exploring in between my busy day. I can not get over how fast it is and how very simple it is to use. To think I didn’t even need the help from the Genius Bar! Oh yeah…..loving it
Safari Browser

A close friend of mine told me how she has downloaded the Apple Safari Browser to use on her personal computer. So I thought I give it a try and I have to tell you I really love it. Simple, safe and very user friendly. I have been having a lot of issues with the Firefox browser “crashing” ever since they updated to 3.0. Seeing how I have my eye on wanting a Mac in the first place, I felt it fitting to take this browser for a test run. I absolutely love it. It so fast too, I kid you not. If your frustrated with your current internet browser, why not take Safari for a test drive. I know I am not disappointed at all. So thanks Dawn for sharing your experience with me!!
