I have read more magazines
November 3, 2008
Wow, since my dad has been in the hospital, I have read more magazines over the past few days than I think I have read in years!! Some I have never even heard off. Of course some were dated a few years ago too so nothing like old news huh! I did bring a book to read with me today but I didn’t get to it like I hoped. It was rainy outside and my dad had the light off above his head made it hard to read. So I just flipped through some magazines. I seen some beautiful modern furniture. My hubby keeps telling me that we are keeping the furniture we have until the kids move out because they ruin everything we have. But I hope that when that day comes the styles I seen today will still be in style then, if you know what I mean!
Still in limbo with dad
November 1, 2008
Our blogging time still seems to be in limbo with my father in the hospital. Please bear with me during this difficult time. Spending 80% of my day at his bedside and the other 20% trying to keep caught up with house and such and squeezing in a little sleep time isn’t an easy thing to do. We have a long list of things we have to blog about soon…stay tuned

Wants to know if he should return it
October 23, 2008
My hubby sent for a book about all these great health secrets, and wants my opinion on whether or not he should return the book. Since he quit smoking he put on a few pounds. Which is something that happens quite often when you quit smoking. He was reading about CLA and how it is suppose to help in losing weight. Now I am all for him losing weight, don’t get me wrong. But perhaps he needs to step away from those kettle chips right before bed. If he is going to snack he needs to do it earlier not 30 minutes before he goes to bed. If he needs to munch on something, I have other things in the house that are healthy for him. For his lunches and snacking at work, I buy those 100 calorie packs or crackers this way he is eating less. I know it may cost a little more but he is eating less that way. I am the one who is the main shopper in the house and if I don’t come home with his chips, then there is hell to pay! As far as the book goes, personally I feel it is a waste of money, but he doesn’t. So then why ask me if he should return it then? This is two books now that he has gotten in the past few days that I knew nothing about, something tells me the Internet is a bad bad place for him!!
