Animal Crossing City Folk

Animal Crossing City Folk is out today for Nintendo Wii!  Animal Crossings is one of my most favorite games I had for the gamecube when I had it.  Some days I regret trading in the gamecube, but I did it for my kids so they could have a playstation 2 at that time.  But I really missed Animal Crossings.  It’s true that I have it for my D.S. but as I grow old, gracefully, that D.S. screen can be hard on my peepers.  I am looking forward to playing Animal Crossing City Folk!  I think it is really cool they even make it compatible with a new microphone “add on” piece for your Wii, so that you can talked some of your friends from your living room to theirs as you play!  You can even travel to your town on your D.S. game and back to the Wii!

It is a nice change of pace, I think with winter time setting in.

NeatReceipts for Mac!

Wow I am just amazed yet again at technology today!  What a beautiful thing to have for a Mac user, to keep track of all your receipts, a mobile scanner called NeatReceipts!  When you think of a scanner you think of those long and bulky things, or most who save all their receipts and papers from business trips until they get home (or vacations) to scan through their all in one printers.  But with this bad boy you can take it with you.  Pretty darn slick if you ask me.

I have to tell you being a new Mac user myself,  I just get tickled pink when I find these new things I never heard about all this time as a Windows User (and I imagine this is usable with regular PCs too)

I am going to show this to my hubby, come tax time when I am hunting for all those darn medical receipts to enter for tax time, I am going to say, see how much easier it would of been to have this!!!  (How is that for a slight hint??)

Did you watch the Country Music Awards last night?  I missed it!  I wasn’t feeling very well and forgot to ask hubby to record it on the DVR for me so I missed it.  So I am going to post a recap here of who won the awards! (Since I Missed it)

I am heartbroken not to see my ultimate favorite Trace Akins in this list, but there is always next year.  But so happy to See a few of my fav’s on on here, and then some!!

They have a lot of nerve

When we called to FINALLY cancel ALLTEL’s service, as the contract ends November 17th, and with the health of my father at the moment, we wanted to make sure it was in the system to terminate, END November 17th.  They did everything under the sun to get us to stay with them.  What part of we can not GET service from our home did they not understand?  I was so annoyed with them as it was, after spending 20 minutes on the phone to say well your husband has to officially terminate the account, then when he calls it was another 20 minutes of debating??  NO!  Now the billing was paid through the 20th so they were trying to get us to end it then.  OH NO NO NO NO, the contract date is the 17th, YOU send us a REFUND babycakes!!!

I guess sometimes after February Alltel will have or be or is merging with Verizon, so since we have Verizon I guess we will still be affiliated with them.  (GAG)

However I am filing a complaint with the Attorney General’s office and the Better Business Bureau.  For the past FOUR months as our account reflects minutes used ZERO because we had NO bars, NO service from our home.  WE were just tossing money out the door and sorry that doesn’t wash with me that well, I want that money back for the past for months!!!!!

Circuit Closing?

Wow I am so highly disappointed.  The Circuit City in our area is closing up.  Let me tell you how this seriously comes to a shock to us here in our home.  I have to tell you when it comes to shopping for electronics and games, software’s, and such,  I so much rather go there than to Best Buy!  They salesmen at Best Buy seriously ticked me off and “talked” down to me when my hubby and I were out shopping for a computer one time.  Then again when I was looking for an external,  I knew what I wanted, I did my research.  Not to mention the trouble I had with Vista with a laptop and how they “screwed” me.  So I guess if it isn’t at Walmart, or Target, then I will be buying most of my stuff online for now on.  I won’t be spending the dollars that I spent at Circuit City with Best Buy!!
