About the Author

My name is Susan. From birth to adulthood, Ohio has always been my “home”. I am a Christian, a daughter, a wife, a mother to three, a friend, a homemaker and a caregiver who has a very tender heart. I have three cats that I just adore, they are my furbabies in edition to my children! I am a veteran of the United States Navy. I am 39 years old.

I love to listen country music, as in my heart I am a country girl! But my love for music doesn’t stop there. I have noticed as I have grown in life my music choices have grown too. I love a little bit of everything from pop, rock, and oldies but goodies.

I love cooking and baking and collecting cookbooks. My cookbook collection has grown to over 70 over time. I really love and treasure my oldest cookbooks, like for example I have an original copy of the first Bisquick Cookbook. I love to read through them and see how recipes has grown and changed over time. I really love baking for my family. I find it relaxing and a stress release many times.

I love to read. I have read many books over the course of time, but some of my favorite Authors are Agatha Christie, Danielle Steel, Edgar Allen Poe, Billy Graham, John Grisham, and Kay Arthur.  The list could go on!!

I love playing games from computer to the Nintendo Wii. I love the mystery games like the Agatha Christie series, the CSI Miami Game, and games on Pogo and Big Fish Games on my computer. I love playing Mario, Zelda and Spyro video games and really enjoy a good game of trivia or bowling on the Nintendo Wii.  The Wii Fit rocks!!

I am a  Mac-Girl!  I have a MacBook and I love it.  Although I don’t spend as much time on it as I wish I could, somtimes I wish I could blink my eyes and turn my desktop into an IMAC!!

I do enjoy watching television, although I do not watch to much of it.  Shows I do enjoy are Reba, George Lopez, Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, CSI Miami, 7th Heaven, Little House on the Prairie, Fresh Prince, Two and a Half Men, E.R.,  and Judging Amy.

I have to say I am a computer-a-holic! With being a one car family and always at home, sometimes the walls creep around me and my escape is coming online to either blog at my blogs, or doing digital scrap booking and working with graphics in general. I love being challenged and keeping busy. I have taught myself how to use and master many different computer programs. Although I admit I am code-challenged, but I strive and push to learn and grow in this area.

Sometimes I can have a potty mouth, and if I feel strongly about something that I believe in, I am going to speak up about it.  In today’s times you really have to stand strong.  I am not perfect, I do make mistakes, for I am human!

I am the type who likes to bring a smile to someone, if they are having a bad day, or just needing a shoulder to lean on, I am there for them. It just a huge part of who I am!

I love to write, about all kinds of things from life to where ever comes to heart. This is why I have my blogs.

Some day it is my dream to move out into the country, away from the busy rushed life of city living, where I can wake up, take my coffee or tea and sit out on my front porch on my swing enjoying the beautiful view. I love to be in a moment where time isn’t so rushed. I love to have my own Bed and Breakfast. I would really love to bring the simplest of pleasures into someones life as they escape for a little bit of much need rest and relaxation.
