Baby Shower Boom!

Wow, is there something in the water right now or what?  I have been invited to several baby showers and I am like wow, the next baby booming generation or what?  Even my daughter’s best friend found out she is pregnant.  Of course I am such a sucker for babies.  I just love them!  I miss the fact I was unable to have anymore children due to serious health issues.  I know I am really looking forward to being a grandma.  So for my niece and her family hubby and I have been looking at the Bugaboo stroller.  I really like the design and how it looks and surely one that would last a very long time and one that could be passed on to generation after generation.  I know this is one my daughter wants, when that day comes and she is married and off building her family!  Hey a mom can hold out for this in today’s time no?

Sometimes its worth the hunt

In today’s economy, sometimes it’s worth the hunt when you shopping for something you need.  Every dollar counts, even pennies for that matter when it comes to meeting your budget.  I pride myself in the fact I work very hard stretching our dollars and getting the best buy for our buck.  Some people actually look down on me because I clip coupons.  I save them up for a month, then when I am ready to do my big monthly shop, I clip them out and head off to the store.  I usually end up with over $40.00 worth or more in savings.  That amount today is nothing to sneeze at!  Not to mention the added savings I get off towards a gallon of gas!  For me its a win/win situation!

Thank you Vista, I want a MAC!

After talking to my brother in law yesterday during our visit down south to my husbands mom’s to celebrate her 80th birthday, I have decided I want a MAC!  I had no idea there is a software you can buy so that your windows based programs would work!  How flipping awesome is that?  I just do not like Vista at all.  I have tried and tried for the past year to “like it” and it’s just not happening.  Getting a new windows based laptop just isn’t ever going to be feasible ever again.  So now I want a MAC!!!  I use to use them when I was a teaching assistant 10 years ago (and back) and loved them.  I was even able at that time to troubleshoot when there was an error!!

So now I am going to have to sit down and make some decisions and see what I am going to sacrafice in order to get a MAC laptop!
