Cell phones and ringtones!

Now that I have entered that fun world of having my own cell phone, I am finding the desire to have new ringtones.  I came across a site that offers them for free called Phonezoo.com.  Some of them are funny, some I find are rather on the stupidity size and a few I did download, such as Green Acres theme so when it’s my dad calling it will come up as Green Acres, since its one of his favorite oldies he watches over and over.  My daughter was really into Barney when she was little, I mean Barney everything, sheets, blankets, towels, toys, lamps, you name it.  Now that she is 18 she is embarrassed of this so I thought how funny it would be to come up with Barney singing I love you!

Once we have gotten though this first payment with the activation fees I want to buy some ringtones.  I love to have a few country music ones!!

My husband signed up with Phonezoo.com and thinks its really funny to have a siren going off saying warning its the wife warning when I call his cell phone!!

I love to go back to Orlando

My hubby asked me last night if I would want to go to Florida and where in Florida I would want to go.  You know I would love to go back to Orlando!  Wow I have not been there since my Navy days!  That was back in 1988, I went to Boot camp there, took apprenticeship training, then headed off to Chicago for Corpsman training and then stationed in Pensacola!  I love to sit and go through my box of memories and remember those times.  Hubby has been checking out Orlando vacations to see what kind of deal we can get.  Our daughter works for a large national hotel chain and we get to use a family discount through here so we would definitely be able to afford to go!  I love to go back to Disney World!  Once I graduated boot camp and we passed with honors let me tell you, it would of made a great commercial like they do with the Superbowl winners!!  I love to go back and show my kids where I was stationed, received training and where I ate for the first time at an Olive Garden!!

Why is she even looking

My daughter, is really trying my patience.  As she graduated high school, has her first job, just had to have her new cell phone now and it took almost every dime she had in the bank to get it, and her need to buy clothes.  But I have been watching her lately and she isn’t eating right.  I happened to walk into her room last night and seen she was searching the web for weight loss pills.  Why does she feel she needs to weigh less?  She doesn’t have a weight issue, she isn’t over weight.  I notice now that she is working, she isn’t eating like she should.  So last night she complained she isn’t feeling well.  Well she needs to eat more.  So I hope this weekend I get some time to sit down and talk to her.

Are credit card companies loan sharks?

I have to tell you, with a few credit card companies that we have had, I am thinking more and more that they are loan sharks in disguise!  Recently my hubby and I paid off a card.  We received a statement, paid the balance in full well before the due date and we thought that was the end of that!  We were mistaken to say the least.  I was quite shocked when we received a statement two months later.  Mind you I didn’t get a statement to make a payment during the month of August, but did just receive one for a payment due in September.  My hubby called them on the phone and they explained to my husband that the payment was held until it cleared so it didn’t officially “post” to our account until two days after a due date so there was a late fee assessment.  Add that to interest and it was $89.00.  No flipping way.  I called them back as I looked at the statement and the late fee was not “disclosed”.  It was all listed under “interest”.  I demanded to speak to a supervisor and they did take off the late fee.  They said the interest is continued to be added “daily”, even if we pay the balance in full from the statement.  I said if this is the case, we will NEVER be out from under you.  You will continue to charge me interest even if i paid, they still send me another invoice for a few dollars, then what another one for 50 cents!  Horrible Horrible Horrible!  How greedy can they get?  You pay the entire balance and its not enough???  It’s like taking a loan with a loan shark!
