Pirates in todays times?

I thought I seeing things this morning when I arrived to my Yahoo home page!  In Somalia, pirates are demanding a million dollars as they have kidnapped a couple with a child from Germany, along with the captain of the ship.  Are you serious? Wow I mean this something right off my television!  I would of thought pirates were a thing of the past, but I have learned, even at my age, I am wrong.  Sadly enough it seems they will get away with as there are a lot of pirates out in the waters.  I hope that someone in the area of the law can step in soon.  Its really sad and my heart goes out to the captives and their families and I pray for a safe return!!

So very sad

It is just so very sad to see so many homes in foreclosure.  Big and beautiful homes to boot.  You know, its really a shame that folks got those sub prime loans and I really think the government should of stepped in a long time ago over this.  But what makes me feel so very said is the fact that we live near an eldery couple who had their home paid off, but because of medical bills had to take a loan and now are losing their house.  It makes me wish I was in a position with money, to give to them so they would not lose their home.  It really truly breaks my heart to say the least.

What kind of policy is that?

I am super annoyed right now.  Earlier in May I purchased Ulead’s CD&DVD PictureShow version 4, as I have been scrapping pictures of my daughter from baby stage to date, to make a movie for her graduation party!  I have been working over six months on this project.  The problem?  Error in burning the DVD phase.  I fought with this for two days now and it gets to 71% and stalls and an error pops up and that’s it.  I read through their knowledge and FAQ files under support and did every thing it said to do from installing patches, to doing a clean uninstall and a fresh install.  Still the same error.

So I call on the phone today to ask for a refund since this software is not running and working properly.  Guess what?  NO refund after 30 days!  That is their policy.  Even though the program isn’t functioning properly they still will NOT give me refund.  Needless to say I am not a happy camper.  The lady got smart with me and I was starting to raise my voice and she didn’t like that either.  She said its been a few weeks past the 30 days and I said I just finished the scrap pages and was finalizing it to burn the DVD I did not know there was an issue.  All she offered to do was connect me to technical support, which I waited and waited and waited and waited.

Guess how much you have to pay to get technical support?  $15.00!!  AS IF!!  That’s a load of b.s. too if you ask me!  So I printed everything and will file a complaint with the better business bureau.  This is not the first time I had issues with ULead products which is now owned by Corel.   I will NOT buy anymore software with the ULead Trademark, I will tell you that much!!

Looking for a direction

When I opened this blog I had many ideas and directions to go.  Unfortunately I suffer from CRS at the moment.  In all seriousness actually I don’t suffer from CRS, but rather trying to find a unique niche isn’t an easy thing when there are literally a million blogs.  I jot down ideas and over a course of time I see OK that already has a huge amount out there, I would just be another same old nothing new blog.  So I am looking for a direction I want to head with my blog.  I think I am going to dive in soon into the huge social media of blogging and see how much I can learn and grow.  Since big changes are ahead in my future, I think I am going to incorporate them into my online blogging.
