Pointing squirt guns from car window

Today as I was headed to a Wal-Mart Super center, as I approached a red light, a car that was turning passed the car and a kid in the back seat was pointing a squirt gun out his window shooting water.  Now seriously, in today’s times, I don’t think this was a good thing for this child to be doing.  What the hell is wrong with parents?  Had I not actually seen water coming out I have to tell you, it even made me look twice and my heart skipped a beat.  That child had no business, in this parents opinion shooting a squirt gun out the window.

I wish a police officer would of been there and seen it and pulled that parent over and chewed their ass off.  Pardon my language but this really upset me.  Had that of been my son I would of  taken that gun and he never would of seen it again.  There is a time and a place and that certainly isn’t the place.

What if a hot head was driving who happen to been carrying a gun and thought that someone was going to shoot them?  Don’t people think?

Shame on the parents!!!

I think it would be nice

So many nights I lay awake so I figured if I am awake I think about some things.  Well my daughter got a great job that she loves, been there two days and they already increased her hourly wages.  But I stop and thought about it and how lucky we are to have the neighbors living across the street from us.  I really don’t like where we live location wise, but having great neighbors like that, well it helps make a difference.  So I am going to talk to my daughter and see after she gets her first pay if she will split the cost and send them a gift basket.  She could of ended up at a job she hated just for the mere fact she needed a job.  They got us a great deal fro two night aways for our 10th wedding anniversary.  Hired my daughter  (well their daughter who manages the place my daughter works did all of this).  They even took time for my daughter to attend her graduation party.  So I want to do something nice for them.  We need more people like them in the world who are loving, giving and willing to help out when you are willing to work hard.  If we had more people like that in our world today we be much happier!!

“Renters”

I just read this article where they are talking about the myth that owning your own home is better than renting.  This is something that I wish my husband would of read two years ago before we bought our house!  We were renters.  But you know what, those who owned houses around us treated us like scum, because we were “renters”

Sure there are many renters out there who just go from place to place and have this lousy attitude that well I don’t own it so why should I take care of it?  See they gave the rest of us a bad rep just because we were “renters”

Since buying our house two years ago we have had a gas leak, both showers leaking, roof leaking into the furnace when it would rain (seriously I had water coming out of my furance), hot water tank problems to last weekends wonder start of the kitchen faucet went and could not shut off the water, to the back bathroom faucet leaking which lead the the plumbers breaking my back bathroom sink.  Not to mention the new roof we just put on the house.

Sometimes I wish we could of just looked to find another place to rent.  Finding a good and honest landlord is just as hard as it is for landlords to find good and honest renters.  With our housing market the way that it is, it makes me wonder what will happen now.  I would love to put the house up for sale and move out into the country, but I can tell you, now is definitely not the time to sell a house!!

McCain or Obama?

I still need to sit down and seriously make a decision on who I am going to support and vote for.  I am really tied between the two.  Each party as good points and wish there was a way to bring both parties together into office.  But I know that is not the case.  I often wonder what it would be like if the President was from one party and the Vice President was from another.  Would it help unify our country?  It saddens me very much so that our country is so divided.  These are most scary times and this is a very big decision for our future. I think each candidate would make a great president but trying to narrow it down to just one is not an easy task.  I think Hillary gave them a run for their money, but felt in my heart she wasn’t the best choice for us at this current time, but not closing the door on the future.  Personally I don’t think Bill should be any where near that oval office!!
