For the full effect

May 25, 2008

As hubby and I have been discussing moving and debating about renting and buying again we talked about a few what ifs! Like for example if we had a family room what theme we would want.  Since my hubby loves to watch a lot of movies we thought about a movie theme for decorating.  You know having some home theater sconces so when the lights are out and your watching movies you can really get the full effect of being at a movie theater!

Viva Paper Towel Freebie

May 21, 2008

I thought I would share this link with my visitors for a free sample of Viva Paper Towels!  I have to tell you, personally I really love these over all the different brands out there.  I prefer to clean with these, especially on mirrors, monitors, television screens.  They do not leave any dust particles and are very strong!  I wish I could get more coupons for these than we manage to get from time to time.  So if you visiting today grab this freebie while you can!

My dream kitchen

May 21, 2008

Have you ever flipped through magazines and find pictures and cut them out to save and hope one day to build your own dream home?  The most important room for me would be my kitchen.  I would love to have a huge kitchen with an island, a butler’s pantry with beautiful wine racks, and shelving to display my baskets and all my cookbooks I have.  I would love to have my pots and pans hanging down off hooks and beautiful stainless steel appliances.  I would love to have a breakfast bar too!!

Down side to Napster

May 19, 2008

Being one who loves to listen to music, I think I am a musicaholic, yes that’s me!  I love listening to music rather than watching television.  I prefer to listen to tracks via the radio because of the commercial ads.  Sometimes there are more ads in an hour on the radio than music and well I rather just listen to the music.

Recently I got a new Sony MP3 player (a pink one to boot) and there was a promotional offer to try Napster for a month.  After the month trial, you pay 14.95 a month.  At first I thought this would be awesome, I could feed my need for music by getting tracks I want and purchasing them via the club membership and not have to buy countless Cd’s just to get one or two songs.  Actually I usually don’t buy them just catch the songs on the radio unless its Trace Adkins or Reba, and a few others.  So I was all excited.  I downloaded, bought some single tracks and uploaded to my MP3 player.  Only problem?  I have to connect my MP3 player to the computer and upload a new song or take them off and put them back on because its a limited use license.  Sure I can listen all I want from my computer, but not from my player.  So basically if I stay with this service say six months then decide I don’t want it anymore, all those songs I downloaded during that time will cease to work.  Frankly that just sucks! So over a period of six months I spend $90 for the monthly fee for what?  Sure to listen and use the tracks during that time and constantly taking off and reloading to my player, but then when I cancel what do I have to show for my $90?  An empty MP3 player!!
