Shame on the Parents!!

There is so much being said right about the photo shoot with Miley Cyrus and so many are upset at Miley and I have to tell you, in this case I say SHAME on the PARENTS!! Girls at this age are VERY VERY impressionable!! I don’t blame Miley or think she should be the one to apologize, I mean she is 15 years old! What in the world was the parents thinking? Do they seriously think that was just tasteful? Not at that age. Our society the focus of “sex” is just too much anymore, from clothes, I mean girls that age are wearing skirts and shorts as sort as their panties for heaven sakes. Its the “Culture” effect. I think the photographer was very convincing thus why Miley saying its’ hard to say no. I feel sorry for her, it makes me wonder about what the parents priorities are? There is a fine line in parenting, whether or not the person is famous. But there are many young girls and teens running around in shorts and skirts as short as their panties and I have to tell you my daughter never dress liked that and we battled this area very much. But that is our culture today and everyone thinks it is ok, and its just not. I think her parents need to be the ones to stand up and make a statement. I feel very bad for the child right now. How can we as parents hold Miley the responsible party here, again I remind you she is only 15 years old. Think of it this way, she broke the neighbors window, who is responsible to fix it, Miley or her parents?

Helping the children adapt

I read an article tonight that explains how caregivers of those children who were put into the state of Texas care from the polygamist ranch were given some hints on how to care for those children as they adjust to things.  I really feel so bad for those children.  They are not allowed to watch television, no radio, no going to movies, and nothing with the color red.  These poor children have been raised to be silent.  Such a sticky situation indeed.  My heart is heavy and so sad for them all. 

Economy could lead to moving

Our economy right now, it really bad for us blue collar workers.  My hubby busts his butt everyday and seems like no matter how much we try to get ahead, a curve comes along and makes us take a detour.  My hubby is seriously considering relocating to another state and has been looking at Wilmington real estate sales.  What worries me is the way our economy is and how hard it may be to sell our house to relocate.  I love to move, as I really am not happy here where we are, but at the same time, after working for the same company for over twenty years, that is a very scary step!

EPA orders Miracle-Gro Recall!!

I heard on the news tonight that the EPA has ordered Scotts Miracle-Gro Company to recall one of their products,  Miracle-Gro Shake ‘n Feed All Purpose Plant Food PLUS Weed Preventer due to using pesticides that are unregistered, mislabeled and illegal!  This has been sold to consumers now since December, 2006.  I am quite shocked that it took the EPA this long to order the recall.   If you have this product, stop using it and do NOT throw away in your garbage, or down a drain.   The best solution for you to do for now, should you have this product as you await to find out about returns, is to store in a dry cool place.

I felt it was important to post this, seeing how this is a product we, ourselves, have here at home.
